It's sad to see how my life and the things I represent have become twisted through the ages. I was the goddess of war and death, and yet people perceive that as something horrible. The raven is my companion, but the only thing that is thought of these days in connection to ravens is the poem by Poe.
"Quoth the raven..."
Pumpkins that are used on Samhain now have scary faces inscribed into them to promote "Halloween". Nothing is as it was.
Superstition overtook my land and my way of things long ago when Arthur worked with Merlin to bring the One God into Camelot. Women with power were perceived as creatures of evil -- such is the way of things for myself today. I am the evil enchantress that seduced her brother and bore a child, or perhaps I am the goddess that kills with a raven by her side. Sometimes I am merely human, but a witch... and witchcraft is the source of the devil's work.
None of these are the true tale. Almost none seek to find the truth of Avalon and its priestesses these days, either. I'm not angry at the lies -- merely saddened by the superstitious lot that would deny women power or seek to change history to suit someone else's desires.
There were times that I was angry, of course, but these days I've learned that teaching changes more than anger. Truth, of course, can heal. So, this is my truth and listen well.
I am goddess, human, priestess, witch, creator, destroyer, lover, hater. I am everything and nothing. I am the whisper on the wind, the heat of the candle's flame. The Goddess is in me, yet I am Her. Witchcraft is not the work of the devil, faeries exist, and Avalon is not lost in the mists as some would claim.
I am Morgan, simple and true. Believe in me and not superstitions that have been passed down through generations, and you will know for yourself as well.

ooc: Only a couple of sources I've found that list his mother, but both list the Morrigan as her. We used to have a Morrigan in TM as well, so he got all happy to have family around. He's so confused now. *g*

OOC : Oh, poor thing! Morgan's not helping him with her vagueness. *L* I'm trying to stick to just Arthurian lore, but she wanted to talk about every "version" of her for this one.

OOC: He's likely going to make everyone go "huh?" with his, 'cause at one point he's going on about toy Fir Bolgs and Tuatha de Dannann his son liked to play with. He's a strange, strange boy.

Have you misplaced your mother?
OOC : *facepalm*

That's not misplacing.
OOC: He rambled. For 940 words. He never rambles.

*shakes head*
Why do you wish to walk with mortals, Lord? You've seen the glory of the Summerland.
OOC : Morgan is being difficult. In my head. And laughing at his rambling.

*simply*
My Lady is here.
ooc: *pets her* Keelia won't talk at all, so. Heh. And he's just so strange here lately.

OOC : Morgan is still laughing. *L*
